【Course Objectives】

Based on the research plan for cinema studies related master’s thesis or research project, students will proceed with the survey, data collection/analysis and writing stages.

【Course Contents】

Provide instruction on how to undertake a master’s thesis or research project related to the field of cinema studies. Specifically, in relation to the individual student’s research theme we will discuss, and advice will be provided on, searching for literature, setting a research question, research methodology, theoretical frameworks, methods of data collection and analysis, etc. A mixture of whole-class and personalized instruction will be provided.

【授業の目標 / Course Objectives】

映画研究分野に関連する修士論文あるいは課題研究の研究計画に基づき、調査、データ収集と分析、論文執筆を進める。

Based on the research plan for cinema studies related master’s thesis or research project, students will proceed with the survey, data collection/analysis and writing stages.

【授業の内容 / Course Contents】

映画研究分野に関連する修士論文あるいは課題研究に取り組むための指導を行う。特に，文献検索，リサーチクエスチョン設定，研究方法，理論的枠組み，データ収集・分析方法などについて，各受講者の研究テーマに応じて議論し，助言する。全受講者対象の指導と個別指導を併用する。
