The aim is to acquire the basic knowledge and perspectives required for conducting communication research by reading a wide range of literature in Communication Studies and related fields.
By focusing primarily on communication research in the areas of Communication Studies and some related fields, students will learn major perspectives, concepts, and theories/models needed to conduct communication research. We will also learn the historical development of Communication Studies as a field of research and familiarize ourselves with recent trends in the field.

本授業の目標は、コミュニケーション研究に関する様々な知見に触れながら、コミュニケーションを研究する上で必要となる基礎的な知識を身につけることを目的とする。
The aim is to acquire the basic knowledge and perspectives required for conducting communication research by reading a wide range of literature in Communication Studies and related fields.
コミュニケーション学とその他の関連分野におけるコミュニケーション研究を取り上げながら、コミュニケーションを学術的に分析する際に求められる視点、概念ならびに理論･モデルを学んでいく。併せて、コミュニケーション研究の歴史や最近の研究動向についても取り上げる。
