By the end of this course, students will be able to
・show a basic knowledge of contemporary theory of sexuality and gender
・understand the history of sexuality and gender in Christianity
・critically analyze discourses and current situations surrounding gender and sexuality.
Today, the importance of affirming “diversity” of gender and sexuality is growing. In such context, it is essential to understand the current social situation surrounding gender and sexuality, and gain a critical perspective in order to analyze the status quo.
In this course, students will acquire a basic knowledge of contemporary theory of gender and sexuality. In addition, students will understand the history of gender and sexuality in Christianity.
The aim of this course is to think critically about what is considered to be “normal” in our society as well as what is assumed as “sacred order” in Christianity.

本クラスを通して受講生は、
・ジェンダーやセクシュアリティの基礎知識を身につけ、
・キリスト教におけるジェンダーやセクシュアリティの歴史を理解し、
・性をめぐる言説や現状を批判的に分析することができるようになる。

ジェンダーやセクシュアリティの「多様性」が叫ばれる今日、それらをめぐる社会の現状を知り、批判的に分析する視座が不可欠である。本講義ではジェンダーやセクシュアリティの基礎知識を身につけた上で、特にキリスト教との関連においてその歴史と現状とを学ぶ。社会で「当たり前」「普通」とされること、キリスト教において「聖なる秩序」と位置づけられるものを批判的に考える視座を身につけることが本クラスの目標である。

基本的には板書やPowerPointを使用した講義形式だが、内容に応じて少人数でのグループディスカッションが入ることもある。講義の進行状況に応じてシラバスに多少の変更が生じる可能性あり。2023年度開講「キリスト教学講義36」と一部内容が重複する。
