【Course Objectives】

In this class, we will learn the anthropological methodologies of cultural anthropology, including fieldwork, and how to write research papers. Specifically, students set themes based on their interests, report their progress, and discuss.

【Course Contents】

In this class, the potential and limitations of various research methods conducted by cultural anthropology—theoretical research, historical material research, interviews, and participatory observations—are examined through student personal studies. Through this, the individual's research interests will be re-evaluated from a cultural anthropological perspective. Students will also learn how to write research papers on cultural anthropology, focusing on fieldwork and ethnographic data, and develop individual student research.
