【Course Objectives】

This module aims to explore political, economical and cultural transformations, all of which took place in early modern and modern Britain, and to deepen our understanding of the transition of its history, through reading the relevant English literature, making presentations concerning its contents and discussing them.

【Course Contents】

Students are required to read chapters of the literature, whose pages range from 20 to 30, as preparation every week. Every student is supposed to make a presentation concerning chapters which a week covers. Those who take charge of it prepare a resume beforehand and lead discussions with other students while answering their questions about the presentation. Basically, the module itself proceeds mainly through discussions among students, but we also confirm understanding of technical terms on British history when necessary.
