【Course Objectives】

1. Students will be able to describe the characteristics of United States society historically.
2. Students will be capable of comparing and evaluating historical interpretations with documents and scholarly research.

【Course Contents】

This course examines the competing interpretations of the United States' history. Students are required to read a short chapter of an assigned text before coming to each class. Through lectures and discussions, each student has opportunities to evaluate historical interpretations of the assigned text critically.
