This is an intensive seminar course on philosophy of education. The aim of this seminar is students' capacity-building with respect to philosophical thinking that allows us to examine fundamental issues about education. We will read literatures that in particular relate to the following topics:
1. SDGs and educational practice
2. Philosophy for Children (P4C) and philosophical dialogue
3. Tojisha-Kenkyu (Frist-person research)

【Course Contents】

In the spring semester, the first half of the class will begin with an explanation of the method of philosophical dialogue, followed by a group discussion of questions using N. Noddings and L. Brooks, "Teaching Controversial Issues," and in the second half, "The Way of Connection: Neither Same Nor Different," by Satsuki Ayaya and Shinichiro Kumagaya. Each participant must write a report for each text.
