Individually or in groups, students will take one theme and while receiving instruction and advice from the instructing professor, conduct their own research and write a report.
This is a class where students get credits for their independent research activities. The following activities are eligible.
1. Regional activities as well as activities in welfare, cultural and educational facilities and organizations within and off campus.
2. Activities that let students pursue a deeper understanding of class and seminar topics they have undertaken.
Students will proceed with the activities while receiving instruction and advice from the instructor. Students must constantly keep the instructor informed.
Also, activities are expected to take roughly half a year. In cases of summer vacation or other vacation periods or when a student wants to temporarily stop an activity and then resume, etc., activities that do not line up with the period of classes are permitted. Students are not required to do the activities individually and may also do them in groups.

学生が個人または共同で,ひとつのテーマについて,指導教授の指導・助言を受けながら自発的に研究に取り組み,報告書を作成する。

学生の自主的な研究活動に対して単位を与える科目であり,対象となるのは以下の活動である。
1.大学内外での地域活動,福祉・文化・教育施設や団体での活動
2.学生が受講した授業や演習のテーマをより深く追求する活動
指導教員の指導・助言を受けつつ,活動を進める。指導教員とは随時連絡をとり報告をすること。
なお,活動の期間は,おおよそ半年間を目処とするが,活動が夏休みなどの休暇期間に重なる場合や,一定の活動を終了し改めて振り返って総括したい場合など,授業期間と合致しない活動を取り上げることも認められる。個人だけでなく共同による取り組みであってもよい。
