【Course Objectives】

Along with deepening their understanding of schools, the situations surrounding them and children, through education practice, students will also take the first steps toward developing proficiency as teachers through classes that develop their abilities. Also, students will ultimately judge their suitability for becoming teachers.

【Course Contents】

The teaching practicum is comprised of three parts: prior instruction, teacher practicum on-site at schools and follow-up instruction.
In the prior instruction, students will meet with the instructing teacher in charge, have a specific lecture relating to practicum preparation and various points of caution, as well as attending a lecture from a current teacher. Students will have four weeks of teaching practicum on-site at a school, and the university instructor in charge will observe and evaluate their classes. In the follow-up instruction, students will reflect on the practicum, and through discussing education problems, each student’s practicum experience will be addressed.
