【Course Objectives】

While appreciating texts from English and American literature, students will learn the historical and cultural backgrounds and the literary techniques necessary for comprehension by beginners. While experiencing the potential of literature and the differences between Britain and the United States, students will sharpen their youthful senses to discover the directions in which their intellectual interests point.

【Course Contents】

In this class, multiple lecturers will each give one or two lectures on major topics in English and American literature, based on their respective fields of expertise and research subjects. By considering diverse works from diverse points of view, the course will show the diversity of English and American literature and the research surrounding it.
