1.Improve English proficiency
2.Explain foundational knowledge of the literature and culture of the Anglosphere
3.Demonstrate critical thinking, research, and writing skills.
This course specifically addresses W. B. Yeats, introducing key terms and concepts from the late nineteenth to the beginning of the twentieth century. It will help all students to engage with a variety of approaches to the literature and culture of the Anglosphere, and help all students to articulate and develop their own research questions. This course basically comprises (1) a close reading and an analysis of the poet by the instructor (2) discussions (3) workshops and (4) presentations. Students are required to (5) submit assignments and a final report (students will get feedback on them from the instructor).

この授業ではW. B. イェイツのさまざまなテクストを読み、 19世紀後半から20世紀前半にかけて鍵となる用語や概念を紹介しながら、英語圏文学・文化への様々なアプローチの仕方を学びます。この授業を通じて、受講者は自らのリサーチ・クエスチョンを見つけることができるようになります。この授業は基本的に（１）教員側による詩人の精読や分析（２）ディスカッション（３）ワークショップ（４）発表によって構成され、学生は（５）コメントペーパーと学期の最後には期末レポートの提出を行います（学生は課題とレポートに対して教員のフィードバックを受け取ります）。
