【Course Objectives】

Students will learn foundational German grammatical and reading skills required to major in German language.

【Course Contents】

Students will follow textbooks and learn foundational grammars required to read in German. Students will not only learn to read but also basic important knowledge used in daily conversations. During the class students are encouraged to read out loud in German and experience German language with voice to master it.
It is interesting too to take up roles of characters from textbooks and read their dialogs. Students will improve their foreign language skill greatly if they can act in that language.
In addition, students will use oral grammar practices and additional quizzes to study at home to ensure complete mastery. Students will enjoy German language as they become better at it. Deutsch macht Spass!
The goal of this class in spring semester is to complete the 8th chapter of the textbook. By achieving the goal, students will be able to narrate past events.
