【Course Objectives】

In the field of German cultural studies students will select their research topics, they will learn and practice investigating them and organizing their results in thesis.

【Course Contents】

In both seminars C5 & C6, with a general theme “transculture in modern Germany and Japan”, students will present their own research topics and all attendees will discuss these topics. Through three years of autonomous learning seminar students find the theme they want to explore for the graduation thesis. In the spring semester students read basic literature (from the field of German cultural studies) together. In the fall semester second year students and third year students present their research topics. Fourth year students should present their graduation thesis in both semesters.
