【Course Objectives】

Students will acquire basic knowledge about French society and culture to prepare themselves for specialized subjects. In addition, students will learn how to write reports, search, and present literatures.

【Course Contents】

Students will be exposed to several areas including, history, politics, economy, religion, and culture based on distributed materials, and compare France and Japan in these areas and search for its characteristics. Students will be divided into groups, and will research and present assigned subjects. Based on these presentations, all class members will exchange their opinions to further deepen their understandings. At the end of semester, students will select subjects they are interested in and submit their findings in reports.
In order to do this, students will also learn how to search for information in library and online, as well as doing presentation.
