The aim of this seminar is to examine the representation of animals in French literature and culture from multiple perspectives.
In this seminar, we will consider the relationship between animals and humans as a cultural issue, mainly through the analysis of literary works.

フランス文学・文化における動物の表象について、多角的に考察する。
The aim of this seminar is to examine the representation of animals in French literature and culture from multiple perspectives.
文学作品や映像の分析をとおして、動物と人間の関係を文化の問題として考える。春学期は、絵本論や文化史を出発点にし、昔話（ペロー）、寓話（ラ・フォンテーヌ）、児童文学（エーメ）などをとりあげ、詩や哲学や博物誌も参照しながら、日本とフランス（西欧）における動物観の違い、歴史的な変遷、フィクションにおける動物の役割について議論する。おもに哺乳類（たとえば狼や猫など）を扱う予定だが、学生の関心にあわせて調整する。
