【Course Objectives】

In this seminar, students research literature and information on French cultural heritage and consider the history and society behind them. Information from the internet will also be used where appropriate. The aim is to broaden the students' own interests, being aware not only of the buildings, but also of regional characteristics and issues of cultural diversity.

【Course Contents】

In this seminar, students will research literature and information on more than 50 cultural heritage sites in France, such as the castle of Versailles, Cathedral of Chartres and Mont-Saint-Michel. Based on a presentation, other student will discuss the history and society behind each of these places of interest.
