Develop the ability to analyze the Chinese poetry composed by Ogyu Sorai, the leader of the learning of ancient texts and words in the early modern Japan, based on the rules of modern style poetry, ancient Chinese language, and the authority of the expression.
After an overview of the literary and ideological significance of the learning of ancient texts and words in the early modern Japan, students will analyze and present on the poetry of its leader, Ogyu Sorai, followed by a question-and-answer session and discussion.

近世日本古文辞学派の領袖である荻生徂徠の作った漢詩を、近体詩のルール・古代中国語の語法・表現の典拠を踏まえて分析する能力を養う。

日本古文辞学派の文学的・思想的な意義を概観した上で、その領袖である荻生徂徠の作詩に関して学生が分析、発表し、全体での質疑応答、ディスカッションを行う。
After an overview of the literary and ideological significance of the learning of ancient texts and words in the early modern Japan, students will analyze and present on the poetry of its leader, Ogyu Sorai, followed by a question-and-answer session and discussion.
