【Course Objectives】

This class aims to acquire basic literacy for understanding the current global economy through lectures in academic English focusing on economics.

【Course Contents】

In today's society, in which information is produced and consumed at a rapid pace, it is not easy to think carefully about things. At such times, works such as the classics serve as anchors, providing us with effective perspectives on complex and intricate phenomena. In this class, we aim to rethink various contemporary issues, not limited to economics, from the perspective of solid academic endeavors.
In this class, we will read articles and books by John Kenneth Galbraith, an economist belonging to the American Institutional School. In each class, each student will report on the knowledge, insights, and questions he or she has gained from reading the literature in a resume.
