To grasp the development issues that cannot be improved through economic development alone while also understanding which analytical techniques are presented by social development regarding these development issues.
This lecture will discuss the main issues actually facing developing nations while considering the theoretical trends of social development, which arose as a new analytical technique for improving the lives of people and the society in developing nations, in relation to existing economic development, which focuses on the economic growth of developing nations. This will be done while also introducing specific examples to deepen student understanding.

経済開発だけでは改善できなかった開発課題を把握するとともに、これらの開発課題に対して、社会開発がどのような分析手法を提示しているのかを理解する。
To grasp the development issues that cannot be improved through economic development alone while also understanding which analytical techniques are presented by social development regarding these development issues.
本講義では、発展途上国の経済成長に主眼を置いた既存の開発に対して、途上国の人々の生活および社会を改善するための新たな分析手法として誕生した社会開発について、その理論的潮流を考察した上で、実際の発展途上国が直面している主要な諸課題を取り扱う。その際、より具体的な事例を紹介し、学生の理解を深めたいと考える。
