【Course Contents】

Today, even if a problem is local to one country or region, it is difficult to understand it without considering its relationship to the global economy. The economic and social policies of nations are being forced to address the globalization of economic activities and are beginning to be transformed accordingly. This lecture focuses on Europe and incorporates the perspective of forming a network among cities and regions that extends beyond national borders while discussing the changes in the global economy and the possibility of global economic governance. Further, this lecture aims to check the methods for accessing basic data of various types for various regions around the world, and to acquire a basic knowledge of the roles and impact on national economic policy of the WTO, IMF, G7, and G20, etc., which support the global economy. The order in which subject matter is presented in the lecture may be changed depending on the level of understanding of the students and the way the lecture is progressing.
