Business accounting is an indispensable communication tool of business and is often expressed as business terminology. To use business accounting as a business language it is necessary to understand the rules that guide the creation of the financial statements and to appropriately understand the information they provide. The objective of this class is for students to acquire the basic knowledge and skills necessary to prepare financial statements and to appropriately understand the contents of the accounting numerical information they provide.
In this class an overview of the Japanese accounting system will be given and then the explanation will focus on the basic format of the profit and loss statement and balance sheet in order for students to get an overall picture of financial accounting. In addition, the basic accounting process necessary to create financial statements is explained and the concepts behind them are considered. In addition, since much of the content studied in Accounting 1 and 2 is included, there is also an element of review of important issues.

企業会計はビジネスに必須のコミュニケーション・ツールであり、しばしばビジネスの言語と表現される。企業会計をビジネスの言語として使いこなすためには、財務諸表がどのようなルールに基づいて作成されているのかを理解するとともに、それがどのような情報を提供しているのかを適切に理解する必要がある。この授業では、財務諸表を作成するために必要な基礎的な知識・技術を習得し、財務諸表によって提供される会計数値の情報内容を適切に理解することを目標とする。

この授業では、財務会計の全体像を把握するために、日本の会計制度を概観したうえで、損益計算書及び貸借対照表の基本様式を中心に解説する。また、財務諸表を作成するうえで必要となる基礎的な会計処理を説明するとともに、その背後にある考え方を考察する。なお、会計学1・2で学習した内容も多く含まれるため、重要論点の復習という要素もある。
