This course examines the historical development and current state of the Japanese economy. The goal is to accumulate related knowledge and improve students' skills, such as reading comprehension, agenda setting, critical thinking, hypothesis setting and updating, and presentation and writing.
This course examines the historical development and current state of the Japanese economy. In 2024, the seminar is designed as an introductory course for second-year students. Course materials will include books, newspapers, journal articles, and case studies on Japanese companies (including corporate histories). In the spring semester, students will engage in reading, presentations, discussions, and essays. In the fall semester, students will brainstorm their research topic, conduct analysis, and work on presentations. This seminar values critical thinking skills, and students will broaden their views to draw persuasive conclusions. Language: Mainly Japanese, but readings and discussion involve English.

日本経済の発展の在り方と現状を考察します。関連分野の知識の蓄積、課題設定力、資料読解力、思考力、批判的・多角的分析力、フィードバックを受けとめ仮説をアップデートする力、発信力（文章・討論・プレゼンテーション）向上を目標とします。

日本経済の発展の在り方と現状を考察します。本年度は2年生対象とします。日本経済史・日本経済の参考図書、新聞・ジャーナル記事、日本企業事例研究論文（企業史を含む）を題材とします。春学期には文献輪読、分担者によるプレゼンテーションと討論、小論文執筆を行います。秋学期には、自分の現在の研究テーマ候補を選んでリサーチとプレゼンテーションを行い、上級学年での学びにつなげます。本ゼミでは「批判的思考」、「多角的思考」を重視し、物事を柔軟に捉え、説得力のある結論を導く方法を学びます。文献購読、討論は英語で行う場合があります。
