The objective of this course is to learn the basics of computers, which are essential in modern life.
In this lecture, students learn the fundamentals of computer science. Starting with numerical representation methods in data processing, the structure and operating principles of computer hardware and software is explained. Students first learn about binary numbers and how to represent integers and fixed or floating point numbers on computers. Students will also learn how to represent data other than numbers, such as text, sound, and images, on computers. In the second half of the course, students learn the principles of computer operation, such as logic circuits and automata, and learn about computer hardware and software based on these principles.

現代の生活において必須であるコンピュータについて、その基礎の習得を目標とする。
The objective of this course is to learn the basics of computers, which are essential in modern life.
この講義では情報科学の基礎知識を学ぶ。情報処理における数の表現方法から始め，コンピュータのハードウェアおよびソフトウェアの構造と動作原理について解説する。最初に2進数について学び、それをもとに整数および固定あるいは浮動小数点数の表現方法について学ぶ。さらに、文字、音、画像など、数以外のデータをコンピュータ上で表現する方法について学ぶ。授業の後半では、論理回路、オートマトンなどコンピュータの動作原理を紹介し、それらをもとに構成されるコンピュータハードウェアおよびソフトウェアについて学ぶ。
