In this course, we acquire a basic knowledge of blockchain and understand the various applications and current issues.
Distributed ledger technology is a system in which multiple nodes manage the single database in a decentralized structure. Blockchain guarantees the contents of data by connecting a chain of data bundles called blocks. It is expected to be used not only for crypto-assets, but also in a wide range of fields such as finance, real estate, and medicine, where the integrity of transactions and contracts needs to be ensured. In this class, we will cover not only the basic elements and technical background of distributed ledger technology, but also a wide range of topics such as implementations called wallets, trends in standardization, and governance and ecosystems related to operations.

ブロックチェーンの基礎的な知識を習得し，様々な適用事例と現在の課題を理解する。
In this course, we acquire a basic knowledge of blockchain and understand the various applications and current issues.
分散台帳技術は，複数のノードが同一のデータベースを分権的に管理する仕組みである。ブロックチェーンはブロックと呼ばれるデータの束を連鎖的につなぎ合わせることでデータの内容を保証していく。暗号技術と合意アルゴリズムを併用することでデータ改ざんが難しいとされ，暗号資産などの用途だけでなく取引や契約の真正性を確保する必要のあるとされる金融や不動産，医療など幅広い分野での活用が期待されている。本授業では，分散台帳技術の基本的な要素と技術的なバックグラウンドにとどまらず，ウォレットと呼ばれる実装や標準化の動向，運用に関わるガバナンスやエコシステムなど多岐にわたる話題を取り上げていく。
