【Course Objectives】

By emphasizing reading, discussion, and critical thinking skills, this course helps students build the foundation for a basic understanding of theory and methods in the regional and community studies.

【Course Contents】

Students will have the opportunity to read and discuss several books in order to increase their specialized knowledge for the third year of seminar selection. Understand the Japanese community problems from the perspectives of widening inequality, regional decline, and inhabitants. At the same time, consider the ideal future of Japanese society while referring to the situation and policies of other countries.
