Through a review of the literature on changes in the family, intimate relationships, and community, students will learn sociological concepts for the discussion of these issues.
The goal is for students to grasp where the social issues they are interested in are situated within the context of Japan's modern and contemporary history.
When discussing a social issue, it is important to know the context in which the issue arose. In today's globalized world, it is necessary to consider both universal trends in an international context and the domestic Japanese context together.
Based on the above, this lecture will consist of a review of the literature and discussion using relatively simple literature. The literature will focus on the family and intimate relationships, as well as communities. The literature will be tailored to the interests of the students, and it is acceptable if your interests fall outside these areas.
In each session, students will to the roles of speaker, discussant, and moderator. Through lectures, students will also learn the basics of how to read literature, build resumes, and provide comments.

家族および親密な関係、共同体の変動に関する文献を講読し、これらの問題を論じるための社会学的な考え方を学ぶ。受講者が関心を抱いている社会問題が、日本の近現代史のなかでどのような位置にあるかを掴むことが目標となる。

ある社会問題を論じる際は、その問題がどのような背景のもとに起こっているかを知ることが重要である。グローバル化が進んでいる現在では、国際的に普遍的な動向と日本の文脈をあわせてみることが求められる。
以上の問題意識を踏まえ、本講義では新書レベルの文献を数冊講読してディスカッションを行う。文献は家族および親密な関係、共同体に関するものを中心とするが、受講者の関心に合わせて調整する。そのため関心がこれら以外であっても構わない。
毎回、報告者と討論者、司会を設定する。講義を通して、文献の読み方、レジュメの作り方、コメントの仕方の基礎も学ぶ。
