Through a review of the literature and research on families and intimate relationships, students will acquire the ability to think objectively about these issues from political, social, and historical perspectives.
Family and intimate relationship issues are often considered personal problems. However, they change dramatically with time and social structure.
In recent years, family issues such as declining birthrates and unmarried couples have attracted much attention. These issues are not only the result of individual choices, but also have a great deal to do with the transformation of postwar Japan's social structure in the wake of globalization.
This seminar aims to provide a structural understanding of these family and intimate relationship issues, taking into account the social and historical background.
In the spring semester, students will develop basic skills through a review of the relevant literature and discussion. Literature will be selected from a wide range of sources, including not only literature on family issues, but also sociological theories, and political, economic, historical, and cultural works on intimate relationships.

家族および親密な関係に関する文献講読を通じて、これらの問題を、政治、社会、歴史的視点を踏まえて客観的に考える力を身につける。

家族や親密な関係の問題は、身近で個人的な問題と考えられやすい。しかしそれらは時代や社会のあり方によって大きく変わる。近年注目を集めている少子化や未婚化などの家族をめぐる状況の変化は、諸個人の選択の結果でもあるが、その背景にはグローバル化に伴う戦後日本の社会構造の変容も大きく関わっている。<BR> 本ゼミではこうした家族および親密な関係に関する問題について、社会的、歴史的背景を踏まえながら、構造的に把握することを目指す。
専門演習２Ａは、文献講読およびディスカッションを通して基礎力を養う。文献は、家族問題に関する文献だけでなく、身近な問題を考えるための社会学理論や、政治、経済、歴史、文化に関する著作など、幅広く選択する。
