This course aims to examine social issues and develop insights into their backgrounds through gender/sexuality perspectives.
Common beliefs around gender and sexuality can have various effects on individuals and society, frequently excluding particular social groups and resulting in significant social problems. Through reading and discussing literature that addresses gender disparities and inequalities, students will learn how to formulate research questions and analyze society from a gender/sexuality standpoint.

ジェンダー／セクシュアリティの視点から現代社会の課題をとらえ、その背景を分析、考察する力を身につける。
This course aims to examine social issues and develop insights into their backgrounds through gender/sexuality perspectives.
性をめぐる固定観念や規範は、個人の経験や社会のしくみに様々な仕方で影響を与え、ときに特定の社会集団を排除したり、深刻な社会問題を生じさせたりしている。この授業では、現代社会の課題をジェンダー／セクシュアリティの視点から取り上げている文献を講読する。文献の内容に関する議論を通して、社会に対する関心や問題意識を深めながら、ジェンダー／セクシュアリティの視点から問いを設定する方法、社会を分析する方法を学ぶ。

予習：講読する文献を読んで授業に臨む。報告者は、報告用の資料を準備する。
復習：ディスカッションの内容を踏まえて、考えたことをまとめ、リアクションペーパーととして提出する。
発展的な学習：自分の経験、身の回りで起きた出来事、ニュースで報道された事件などをジェンダー／セクシュアリティの視点からとらえてみる。それによって気づいたことを誰かに話してみる。
