Students will focus on regional societies in modern cities. Students will deepen their theoretical and practical understanding aboutdeclining, aging society, co-existence with various different people, social changes affected by regional economy and policy, and theirrelationships with our civil lives.
In the second half of the year, students will consider their concepts through conductinggroup researches. Students will then complete their group reports. By writing relatively long reports, students will gain experiencesrequired to write their graduation theses in the 4th year.

主に現代都市の地域社会に目を向け，少子高齢化，異質な他者との共生，地域の経済や政策等による社会の変容と市民生活の関連性について理論的，実践的に理解を深めることを目指す。
Students will focus on regional societies in modern cities. 年度の後半はゼミ生個々人の研究構想も踏まえつつグループ単位で研究・調査をおこない，成果をレポートにまとめていく。比較的長文の報告を執筆する経験を，4年次の卒業論文作成につなげることを目指す。

テキストの講読においては，報告者，討議者，司会などの役割をゼミ生が順次担当する。活発な討議を通じ理解を深めるために，事前の予習を十分にしておくこと。専門演習２Bのグループ研究では，図書や文献資料を自ら調べたり，大学外のフィールドに積極的に出て調査したりすることを推奨する。
