Through a review of the literature and research on families and intimate relationships, students will acquire the ability to think objectively about these issues from political, social, and historical perspectives.
Family and intimate relationship issues are often considered personal problems. However, they change dramatically with time and social structure.
In recent years, family issues such as declining birthrates and unmarried couples have attracted much attention. These issues are not only the result of individual choices, but also have a great deal to do with the transformation of postwar Japan's social structure in the wake of globalization.
This seminar aims to provide a structural understanding of these family and intimate relationship issues, taking into account the social and historical background.
From the fall semester, each student will prepare a research report based on his/her own interests. The research report and discussion will also provide an opportunity to reflect on how each student's theme relates to those of the other students.

家族および親密な関係に関する文献講読を通じて、これらの問題を、政治、社会、歴史的視点を踏まえて客観的に考える力を身につける。

家族や親密な関係の問題は、身近で個人的な問題と考えられやすい。しかしそれらは時代や社会のあり方によって大きく変わる。近年注目を集めている少子化や未婚化などの家族をめぐる状況の変化は、諸個人の選択の結果でもあるが、その背景にはグローバル化に伴う戦後日本の社会構造の変容も大きく関わっている。
本ゼミではこうした家族および親密な関係に関する問題について、社会的、歴史的背景を踏まえながら、構造的に把握することを目指す。
専門演習２Ｂからは、各人それぞれの関心にもとづき、調査報告書を作成してもらう。研究報告とディスカッションは、各人のテーマがそれぞれどのように関わっているかということについても考える機会とする。
