1．Acquisition of fundamental skills such as reading, class discussion, presentations, and the ability to investigate the contemporary social issues and cultural phenomena.
2. Developing a strong understanding of environmental issues, and to apply them to contemporary contexts and examples.
This course is an introduction to sustainability studies. Through readings, discussions and class participation, this class will engage in contemporary environmental issues and to build a foundation for investigation of the social issues and cultural phenomena.

現代の社会・文化に関する専門的な研究の基礎となる文献読解のポイントやレジュメ作成のスタイル、ディスカッションの作法等の基本的なスキルを身につけること。
1．Acquisition of fundamental skills such as reading, class discussion, presentations, and the ability to investigate the contemporary social issues and cultural phenomena.
2. Developing a strong understanding of environmental issues, and to apply them to contemporary contexts and examples.
この演習では、主に「環境と経済」の領域に関連する最新の研究をまとめた文献を読み進めていく。専門的な文献に触れ、これを深く読むという作業を通して、「持続可能な社会を築く」という地球レベルの目標の達成に向けた課題や論点について知るとともに、そこから現代の多様な社会課題を考える基礎を形作ってもらいたい。今年度のテーマは、「食」である。
