To acquire the ability to approach the structures and mechanisms that are creating problems through research on contemporary issues related to sustainability.
In this seminar, we will consider the contemporary relationship between the environment and the economy based on sociological fieldwork. Specifically, renewable energy, climate change countermeasures, the Green New Deal, marine plastic pollution, the future of agriculture, etc. come to mind as closely related themes, but first of all, themes related to "food and agriculture" We will proceed with research centered on.

サステイナビリティをめぐる現代的な課題に関する研究を通して、社会課題を生み出している構造やメカニズムにアプローチしていく力を身に着けること
To acquire the ability to approach the structures and mechanisms that are creating problems through research on contemporary issues related to sustainability.
「サステイナビリティ」が環境政策のキーワードになって長い年月が経ちますが、この考え方が理想とする環境と経済の両立は容易ではなく、かといって地球環境の危機が年を追うごとに切迫する中で、そこに生じるさまざまな課題の解決が急務となっています。このゼミでは、現代においてサステイナブルな社会を築くプロジェクトを担う人びとによる課題解決を探るアクションに関心を寄せて研究を進めます。「アクション」とは、社会の中に人や商品、市場の新たな動きを作り出すこと、具体的には、移住や起業、経営の継承などをきっかけに、地域の文化や暮らしを受け継ぎながら、農産物やエネルギー、歴史的な建築物をはじめ、これまでにない地域資源の活用やサプライチェーンを作り出す動きを指します。
ゼミは、夏に実施する広島県尾道市と周囲の島々でのフィールドワークを軸に展開します。専門演習2Aでは、主にこのフィールドワークの実施に向けた学習・作業が中心となります。
