Cities, the places where we live, are places where various people gather, various things accumulate, countless information flies around and various events take place. In this seminar, we will focus on cities, deepen our consideration of the current situation of cities through literature readings and fieldwork, and look into the future of cities.
We currently live in the city of Tokyo. What kind of place is the city as a place where we live? What are the difficulties that arise there? And what are the prospects for the future of cities?
In this seminar, specific research topics will be selected from the diverse ways of life and events occurring in the cities of the 2020s, and deepened based on literature subscriptions and fieldwork. Themes can be varied, but research topics will not be specified by the teacher, but rather by the students based on their individual interests and awareness of the issues.

私たちの生活の場である都市は、様々な人が集まり、様々なものが集積し、無数の情報が飛び交い、様々な出来事が起こる場所である。このゼミでは、都市に焦点を当て、文献講読やフィールドワークを通じて都市の現状について考察を深め、都市の将来を展望する。

私たちは現在、東京という都市で生きている。では、私たちの生きる場としての都市とはどのような場所なのだろうか。そこに生じている困難にはどのようなものがあるのか。そして都市の将来どのように展望できるのか。
このゼミでは、2020年代の都市において生じている多様な人々の生き方や出来事のなかから、具体的な研究対象を設定し、文献購読とフィールドワークに基づいて考察を深めていく。多種多様なテーマの設定が可能であるが、調査テーマは教員が指定するのではなく、受講生が個々の関心と問題意識に基づいて設定することとする。

1)参加者のしっかりとした問題意識と着実かつ精力的な文献講読、データ収集・分析、調査を強く求める。
2)社会調査法１・２の内容を復習しておくこと。調査手法のみならず問いの立てかたについても理解を深めておくこと。
3)自発的で積極的な参加と双方向的なコミュニケーションを重視する。
4)上記授業計画は受講生の関心やなどにより変更することがある。
5)専門演習２Aと専門演習２Bは同一年度履修を原則とする。ただし、派遣留学などの特段の事情がある場合には審査のうえ例外的措置をとることもある。
