Considering mainly about internet news, students will deepen their understanding of human languages or signs and media technology. They will acquire theoretical skill of media sociology to analyze various medias they encounter daily.
In the first half of this class, I will introduce the studies of media technology that influence the perception of reality and mode of human languages. Based on the above, the second half, students will consider the situation where inevitably merge a recognition of real/unreal and true/false by using the internet. We must take measures to solve this problem by theoretical thinking of the internet news.

言語（記号）と人間、それを媒介するメディア／テクノロジーについて、インターネットにおけるニュースを主要な題材として理解し、日々接するメディアについて理論的に考察することができるようになる。
Considering mainly about internet news, students will deepen their understanding of human languages or signs and media technology. They will acquire theoretical skill of media sociology to analyze various medias they encounter daily.
講義の前半では、デジタル・メディア時代に至るまでの言葉の存在様態、そしてわれわれの「現実」認識に重要な役割を果たしているメディア／テクノロジーを対象とした理論・概念を紹介する。これを踏まえて、中盤以降では、インターネットにおける情報の送受信に不可避的に伴う現実／非現実、真実／虚構の融合状況についてニュース情報を中心に理論的に考察、この状況への対応策を考えていく。
In the first half of this class, I will introduce the studies of media technology that influence the perception of reality and mode of human languages.
