【Course Objectives】

Students will read basic literatures specified by the department for sociology (universal materials for Seminar (2nd year) of Department of Communication and Media Studies). Students will discuss and understand through practice how these literatures contribute to our behaviors in modern media environment.

【Course Contents】

Students will read most of the universal materials for Seminar (2nd year) of Department of Communication and Media Studies. Students will go further – They will share, organize, and understand Modern Media Environment based on experience of entrepreneur, manager, and advocate of Tech Driven Management®. In particular, digital natives born after 1995 are among media practitioners. What media technology, information technology, socialization, and innovation will result? Furthermore, how should students approach factors of AI, IoT, and big data? Students will understand these through passages found in Tech Driven Management®. Guest speakers working in Modern Media Environment (workers and managers of media industry) have been through trials and errors. This class will proceed with their speeches and discussions. Furthermore, these are important preparations for students before they attend full-fledged seminars after year 3.
