【Course Objectives】

 In this class, students will learn about history and method of audience research to analyze media experience in our daily lives. Through these, students will be able to analyze meanings of experience for different people in a more diversified and complicated media environment of modern society.

【Course Contents】

 In order to achieve the above objectives, lectures on the definition of media, its history, changes in daily life due to technological development, and related theoretical perspectives will be given in the first through fourth sessions. In the fifth to tenth sessions, the history of media audience research will be lectured while introducing specific research cases. From the 11th lecture, we will study the latest research results.

 The class will be conducted in lecture format. In each class, a resume with minimum information will be distributed, and explanations will be given as necessary. Students are expected to add to their resumes and submit comments after each lecture. Feedback on the comments will be given at the beginning of the next class.
