【Course Objectives】

As this study abroad program occurs in the fall semester of second year, students should aim to develop intermediate-level practical Chinese-speaking ability.

【Course Contents】

In this course, students will develop the necessary language proficiency which helps them adapt smoothly to university life in Chinese-speaking regions. Classes are held twice a week, during which students will simulate the process of studying abroad and learn a diverse range of expressions tailored to various situations. Aligned with themes set by native instructors, students will engage in conversations in Chinese, contemplating and responding to situations. In addition to textual materials, visual resources such as pictures and videos will be utilized to recreate real-life scenarios. Through skits, students will convey their thoughts, enhancing their ability to apply Chinese flexibly in different situations. Students will not only improve their speaking skills but also enhance their Chinese communication abilities, including listening skills, diverse language expressions, and the usage of grammar through conversation practice.
