Students will learn basic knowledge in scholarly fields related to interpersonal communication, and master the core skills for applying this knowledge to analysis of specific events.
What is communication? How is "knowledge" (or information) transmitted from one person to another through communication? What kind of social relationships are (re)constructed between people? How is the structure of society (re)defined by such communication? These issues will be examined mainly from the viewpoints of structuralist linguistics, communication theory, linguistic interaction, discourse analysis, and discourse analysis, and these considerations will be put into academic practice. French concepts will be used, but explanations will be provided in Japanese.

対人コミュニケーションに関わる学問分野の基礎知識を習得し、習得した知識を具体的な事象分析に応用できる基盤的能力を身につける。
Students will learn basic knowledge in scholarly fields related to interpersonal communication, and master the core skills for applying this knowledge to analysis of specific events.
コミュニケーションとはなにか。コミュニケーションによって「知」（または情報）はひとからひとにどのように伝達されるか。またひととひとの間にどのような社会的関係が（再）構築されるか。そのような伝達行為によって社会の構造がどのように（再）定義されるか。これらの問題を主に、構造主義言語学、コミュニケーション論、言語インタアクション、談話分析、ディスクール分析の視点から考察し、その考察を学術的に実践する。フランス語の概念を使うが、日本語で解説を加える予定。
