The goal of this seminar is, based on the Advanced Seminar 1, for students to determine themes for Senior Research and Thesis by connecting their awareness of various issues to academic themes, and classes are conducted to help students master the fundamental elements (research methods and the like) required to make that determination.
This seminar-style course is for students who wish to finish their graduation theses on themes chosen from the many cultural anthropology topics available, including animism, shamanism, sorcery, mythology, masks, ceremony, death and funeral rites, humans and nature, animals, sex, gender, gifts and trade, and families and marriage. Students will master methods for presenting summaries, and take turns reading basic reading materials to connect the concepts to their own graduation theses.

専門演習1を踏まえて、各自の問題意識を学術的なテーマと結びつけることで、「卒業研究」のテーマを設定することを目標とし、そのために必要な基礎的な事項（研究方法など）を身につけるための授業を行う。

アニミズム、シャーマニズム、呪術、神話、仮面、儀礼、死と葬儀、人間と自然、動物、セックス、ジェンダー、贈与と交換、家族と婚姻などの文化人類学が扱うトピックの中から各自でテーマを設定して、卒業研究を完成させたい学生のためのゼミ形式の授業。レジメ発表の方法を身につけて、基本文献を輪読しながら、各自の卒業研究に結びつけていく。
