Notes 2022年度以降入学の国際ビジネス法学科全学年、政治学科生全学年。
国際ビジネス法学科・政治学科1年次生のうち,法曹コースへの進学を目指す者は必ず民法(1)を履修すること。
「民法概論」と「民法(1)」は2025年度から同一科目に準ずる科目となるため、単位を修得できる科目はどちらか一方のみとなる。2024年度末までに一方の科目の単位を修得している場合、2025年度以降はもう一方の科目を履修することはできないので注意すること。

【Course Objectives】

The objective of this course is to achieve a basic understanding of Japanese civil law.

【Course Contents】

 This course is intended for students admitted to the Department of Politics or the Department of International Business Law in or after the academic year 2022. The classes will consist of fundamental lectures about civil law in general, except that family law (i.e., relatives and inheritance) will not be covered.
 Students who have taken this course will be able to take more advanced courses in law, such as courses in commercial law, civil procedure law, labor law, economic law, and intellectual property law, based on what they have learned from this course. Students who wish to learn more details about civil law in order to prepare for qualifying or certification exams are encouraged to take Civil Law (2), Civil Law (3), Civil Law (4), and Law of Financial Transactions 1, in their second and subsequent years. Please note that students who have taken this course are not required to take Civil Law (1).
