【Course Objectives】

Based on knowledge of the General Law of Administrative Law learned in Administrative Law 1, this course aims to teach students about the rights of citizens for remedy of administrative activities. Knowledge of the administrative litigation system and other remedial systems is not only indispensable for lawyers but also for public officers. The purpose of this course is to deepen students' understanding of the current situation and basic matters of Administrative Remedial Law. In addition, for students' deep understanding of judicial review within the Constitution, they must understand the contents of Administrative Law 2.

【Course Contents】

As students learned in Administrative Law 1, administrative activities must be conducted in accordance with the law, based on legal principles of administrative administration. However, in actuality, administrative activities are sometimes performed illegally, so how to remedy people's rights at that time is an important issue. Making the administrative principles of the law effective is also necessary. Thus, this course aims to provide an overview of administrative remedial systems in Japan.
