【Course Objectives】

The objectives of this course are to learn a framework for political awareness and to understand political values and principles.

【Course Contents】

In this course, students will acquire knowledge about fundamental theories, theoreticians, and disputes concerning the primary topics in Modern Political Theories.
Fundamentally, the lectures will revolve around the assigned textbook. In this regard, students attending class are advised to read the corresponding section in the textbook in advance. Supplementary explanations will be provided in class for sections of the textbook which are thought to require it with lectures providing detailed explanations, but the lecture may deviate from the textbook depending on the topic.
Furthermore, the political theory covered in the lectures is slightly skewed toward normative theory, and the "theory of political process1・2" plays the primary role in important topics concerning empirical research about politics.
