The objectives of this course are to (1) acquire fundamental knowledge about finance which forms the foundation of the economy while learning about the deep connections between law, finance, and the economy (business) and (2) to deepen the students’ ideas and cultivate their ability to communicate through discussions.
This seminar will cover the fundamental aspects of topics selected from the fields of law, finance, and the economy with supplemental explanations provided as needed while engaging in discussions about case studies and created examples in a workshop format.
As a general rule, the classes will be carried out this way: (1) each student does a "homework" and prepares for the class, (2) students discuss about the homework in small groups, and (3) the entire class discuss about the conclusions of the groups.
Students are expected to attend every class, and actively participate in the discussions. The class may continue beyond the normal hours.
In addition, the schedule will also include workshops with guest speakers having various backgrounds, and a social gathering with the seminar alumni and alumnae.

（１）経済の基盤である金融についての基本的な知識とともに、法、金融及び経済（ビジネス）との深いつながりを学ぶこと、および（２）ディスカッションを通じて自分の考えを深めて発信する力を養うことを目標とします。
The objectives of this course are to (1) acquire fundamental knowledge about finance which forms the foundation of the economy while learning about the deep connections between law, finance, and the economy (business) and (2) to deepen the students’ ideas and cultivate their ability to communicate through discussions.
法、金融、経済の分野から選んだテーマについて、基礎的な部分の説明を適宜補いながら、実例や設例についてワークショップ形式でディスカッションを行います。
授業は、(1) 事前課題について各自で検討する、(2) 少人数のグループで(1)の検討結果を踏まえて議論しグループ毎の意見を発表する、(3) グループの意見について全体で議論する、という形で進めます。
授業への毎回出席が必須です。また、ディスカッションへの積極的な参加を求めます。授業の進行状態によっては、時間を超過することもあります。
その他、様々なバックグランドを持つゲストスピーカーを迎えてのワークショップやOBOGとの交流会なども行う予定です。

【事前課題をやってくることは履修の条件です】
事前課題は、授業でのディスカッションを活発化し、また授業の内容を十分に理解するための“準備作業”です。自分でしっかりと調べて考え、自分なりの意見を発表できるように準備しておいてください。（注：正解を見つけてくることを求めているわけではありません。）
やむを得ない事情で授業に参加できない場合は、事前課題を検討した結果を提出してください。

＜選考方法＞
【採用人数】 30名前後（継続生10名強を含みます）
【配当年次】 三、四年次
【履修条件】
金融に関する知識はなくても大丈夫ですが、（1）事前課題についてきちんと準備して毎回の授業に参加すること（※）、及び（2）ゲスト・スピーカーとのディスカッションなど通常の授業以外のゼミの活動にも意欲的に参加することを条件とします。条件を充たさない場合は、履修の継続を認めません。
※ 就活等やむを得ない事情で休む場合は、事前課題を提出すること。
【選考方法】レポート及び任意面接
①レポート
題目は「（ア）自己紹介、（イ）今まで本気で打ち込んできたこと、及び（ウ）本演習を志望する理由」、字数は2,000字以内（必要なことが書いてあれば字数は少なくても構いません）。
※ レポートは、本演習を継続して履修する新四年生も内容をチェックし評価します。
②任意面談
本演習の内容や雰囲気を理解してもらうために、2024年3月の第１週から第3週に、継続する新四年生も参加しての面談（オンラインを予定）を行います。希望者は、講師宛にメール（j_kubo@rikkyo.ac.jp）で申し込んでください。具体的なスケジュールは追って連絡します。
※ 面談を受けるかどうかは任意ですが、選考にあたっての評価項目の一つとします。
【演習論文】 実施しません。
