【Course Objectives】

Administrative Law in order to reach a valid conclusion for problems concerning both of these areas. In other words, while it is doubtful that a valid solution can be reached with just the abstract principles and legal principles of the Constitution, on the other hand there are also problems where it is difficult to derive a persuasive argument with only the individual administrative laws and regulations without considering the fundamental principles of the Constitution.
In this seminar (1) Participants are expected to be second, third and forth-year students who wish to study Administrative Law (formally or to review one more time) following Constitutional Law. (2) Third and fourth-year students who wish to dig into the state and operation of the administrative system from the perspectives of Constitutional and Administrative Law are also welcome to participate. (Consideration will be given to the balance between different class years in regard to the reporting assignments.)
The “fundamental” aspect of the “Fundamentals of Constitutional and Administrative Law”, which is the topic of this seminar, includes not only mastering a rudimentary knowledge of Constitutional and Administrative Law but also contains the message of thinking about the “essence” which forms the foundation of those areas ("fundamentals" does not necessarily mean the same thing as "rudiments"). If the students are able to concretely understand that even one topic has various problems and perspectives to examine, then the objective of this seminar has been achieved for the time being. This type of study is particularly beneficial for those students who aim to become legal professionals and civil servants or work at private companies (corporate law and other departments).
