Using comparative research methods (law, politics and economics), we try to analyze social similarities and differences between ASEAN countries.
That will help us enhance penetrating insights into institutional issues in a country that result from the phenomenon of globalization.
We will conduct basic research on legal and political problems of the ASEAN countries.
This year is devoted to constructing an analytical framework that compares Japan (East Asian countries) and Southeast Asian countries.
This seminar will be developed in stages from the basics to application.
Students should decide what theme to explore after some discussion.
In the first half of the seminar, we will see the problems from economic and historical perspectives based on the textbook.
The second half of the seminar will deal with team-by-team themes in the fields of law and politics.
Our study will focus mainly on the following countries (Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam).

比較研究（法学，政治学，経済学）の手法を用いつつ，東南アジア諸国（ASEAN諸国）の社会的特徴を検討することを通じて，世界のそれぞれの国に対してグローバル化がもたらす制度的影響について，客観的に分析および考察する姿勢を鍛えます。
Using comparative research methods (law, politics and economics), we try to analyze social similarities and differences between ASEAN countries.

授業で学んでいる法学や政治学の知識を活用しながら，東南アジア諸国について調査し，考察を加えます。
今年度は，日本（東アジア諸国）と東南アジア諸国を比較するアプローチを意識した検討を行います。
どのようなテーマを探求するかは，参加者のみなさんが話し合って，主体的に決めて頂きます。
経済学，歴史学の成果を段階的に学んだうえで，法学・政治学の専門的な問題に取り組みます。
タイ，マレーシア，インドネシア，ベトナムは調査対象国として必ず扱う予定です。

探求するテーマを決めたうえで，調査対象国（群）別にチームを編成し，グループ・ワークを中心に進めていきます。
そして各チーム内で各自が担当する資料について，無理のない範囲で調査および報告（発表）等をして頂きます。
したがって，毎週1時間程度の個人的な学修時間を確保するようにしましょう。

①題目：東南アジア諸国（ASEAN諸国）における日本企業と中国企業の展開について
この演習で取り組んでみたい国を１つ選んで，その国に進出（＝投資）している日本や中国の企業が直面している課題（取引法，会社法，労働法，知的財産法，経済法のいずれかの法分野に関係していることが望ましい）について，または，東南アジア諸国市場における日本企業と中国企業の存在感の変化と現状について，以下の手順で論じてください。
最初に，新聞記事を1つ挙げ，新聞名，見出し，日付を掲げたうえで，内容を簡潔に要約してください。
次いで，その記事に興味を持った理由とこの演習で調査および考察してみたい課題を説明してください。
最後に，志望にあたっての意気込みや個人的背景等がある場合は，それらについても教えてください。
新聞については，図書館で提供されているデータベース（読売，朝日，日経，毎日，東京（中日），産経）の中から選んでください。
新聞記事の検索用語としては，「日本」，「中国」，「東南アジア」または「ASEAN」に加えて，以下の用語を活用されるとよいでしょう。
デジタル化，IT産業，家電，二輪車（オートバイ，バイク），自動車，EV（電気自動車），鉄道，不動産
東南アジアの個別の国名（タイ，マレーシア，インドネシア，ベトナム，フィリピンなど）
②字数：1,200字程度（A4用紙で表面1枚を厳守してください）
