【Course Objectives】

(1)Students understand the significance of discussing modern society through "pop culture."
(2)Students will be able to discuss diverse ideas surrounding education in "pop culture."
(3)Students will be able to discuss what "pop culture" is.

【Course Contents】

The diverse works contained in "pop culture" and our sensibilities in embracing them are intricately intersected. And those intersections can symbolically highlight the way times and societies are. In this class, researchers (academic fans) with a variety of "guesses" or who produce doujinshi (coterie magazines) will read texts that reveal the state of modern society and the view of people that emerges through "pop culture." Then, based on that reading, students have the opportunity to actually present educational and social issues through "pop culture."
