【Course Objectives】

First, we try to examine what we call “common sense” and “stereotypes”, the world we live, and our brain activity that recognizes the world. Through the lens of the primitive Buddhism of Buddha, we try to see our survival instinct and desire as they are. We try to explore a different perspective toward what we call “data supremacism society”, all in words.

【Course Contents】

・The beginning of words
・Where do words come from? What is the origin of human languages?
・The way words go out of style (“死語”, obsolete words)
・What is the primitive Buddhism of Buddha?
(Why do words lead to awakening of the Buddha?)
・Contemporary brain science and the primitive Buddhism of Buddha have already joined together.
・What we “modern people” living with the religion of capitalism has to focus on.
・The similarities between the concept of “推し” (a star that you are actively supporting) and religious spirit.
・What we should learn from philosophy of the Buddha in danger of being taken over by AI…etc.
