This course is designed for students to learn the basic concepts of positive and negative peace and human rights such as children's rights and minorities in depth. Students are expected to obtain information, ideas and opinions from the related sources and compare and analyze the various facts with the way of critical thinking.
Students are required to show cooperative teamwork in presentation and discussion. After each content introduction, students are expected to propose positive and constructive solutions to the diverse problems as the final project.

本講義は、平和の基本概念である「positive peace」と「negative peace」、子どもの権利やマイノリティなどの人権について深く学ぶことを目的とする。関連資料から得られるさまざまな情報・考え方・意見をもとに、クリティカル・シンキング（批判的思考）によって様々な事実を比較・分析する。
This course is designed for students to learn the basic concepts of positive and negative peace and human rights such as children's rights and minorities in depth. Students are expected to obtain information, ideas and opinions from the related sources and compare and analyze the various facts with the way of critical thinking.
プレゼンテーションやディスカッションにおいて、学生は他のクラスメイトと協調的にグループワークを行う。各テーマの学習を終えた後、学生は個人的な最終プロジェクトとして、様々な問題群から一つのテーマを選定し、該当するテーマに関するリサーチを行い、その成果を発表することが求められる。

Students are expected to do assignments such as pre-reading or writing a summary about the related contents.. Pre-listening is also included as an assignment in order to fully understand the contents in the class.
