【Course Objectives】

This lecture will consist of (1) a lecture and discussion by the guest speaker and (2) group work based on the topic in (1).

The central theme of the lecture is "From Business Management to Regional Management.

The guest speaker will be from the "point approach" of running an individual business,
The guest speakers are responsible for local "society" and local "economy" by expanding their perspectives from the "point approach" of running individual businesses to the "aspect approach" of the region in which the business is located or in which the business is developing.
We define this as "regional management," and we learn and teach each other,
We aim to deepen our own thinking as well as to think about the "future of the region" together with her/them.

Through these seminar activities, we hope to produce human resources who will play a leading role in the future of Japan, and in particular, the region,
We hope that the seminar will help us to enhance our presence as an institution that produces human resources for the future of Japan, and in particular, for the region.

【Course Contents】

From "local managers" who are actually responsible for the local community and local economy,
Management frameworks and trends in the manufacturing, retail distribution, and IT industries
What kind of approaches are possible when applying them to the local economy?
What can be done to apply these frameworks to the local economy, and numerous case studies.

After learning these lessons, we will bring them to other industries and incorporate them into our own thinking,
Based on the input provided by guest speakers such as regional managers and faculty members with different areas of expertise,
The students will acquire "knowledge through the combination of different fields" and "editing skills" to intentionally combine them.

This course is designed for students who intend to take on challenges related to the local community in the future.
Therefore, students are expected to have sufficient academic skills and a proactive attitude to actively participate in group work and discussions mainly on topics related to the "region.

In addition, although it will be on a voluntary basis, internships will be offered for collaborative projects with business owners and operators who are making concrete efforts to "shift from corporate management to regional management",
We are also planning to realize this through internships or study tours including fieldwork (during the summer vacation period, etc.).
