【Course Objectives】

 Learning law is not just about learning law skills, but developing the ability to think objectively and logically through interpreting law. In this course, we would like to take the events that occur around us, recognize that the constitution is very close to us, and consider various social issues from the viewpoint of ensuring human rights.

【Course Contents】

Classes will take the form of lectures and audiovisual materials will be used as appropriate. After learning about topics from the modern constitution to the establish of the Japanese Constitutional Law, we will provide lectures on pacifism and basic human rights, etc. using familiar examples. The specific contents are shown in the "Course Plan." In addition, regarding individual themes related to basic human rights, we would like to take up topical issues as much as possible, and examine them in detail, so please be aware in advance that the contents may differ from the course plan; that depending on the progress of the classes the themes may vary slightly; and that the themes may be limited due to time constraints.
